My new obsession. Sorry Red.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted.  I’ve been busy with a lot of things; work, a new puppy, image (11) and starting to enjoy more white wine! When I first started this blog, I did a post about how I started trying a few whites, but just couldn’t get into them. Lately the weather’s been warming up and as much as I love beer, sometimes I need a drink that’s a little bit lighter. I decided to get a bottle of Kendall Jackson photo (36)Sauvignon Blanc. I’ve had it a while back, and the more I try it, the more I love it. It goes down so smooth, and crisp. So far I can say this is my favorite white wine, sweet, but not too sweet that it gives you a headache.

Being a big Cupcake fan, I had to try the Cupcake image (9)Sauvignon Blanc. My mom recommended this one, she loves this, as much as I love their cab. This one is a little more bitter and has more citrus flavor, than the Kendall Jackson. It was full of flavor, but I have to say the Kendall Jackson is still my favorite.

The other white I tried, in this minor heat wave we had the past week was Gnarly Head Pinot Grigio. I like the Gnarly Head reds as well. The Pinot was good, just not my favorite. It was drier than the others, and a image (10)little sweeter.

Each of these bottles are under $10 and that makes them all taste great.  This is just the beginning of my adventures with white wine, and I will try others, and let you know; there are so many out there and so little time!

You should try Charles Krug & Peju Sauvignon Blanc or Ménage a Trio white blend. Apothic white is another good one…oooo and Bogle Chardonnay.

You might like the Sauvignon Blancs from New Zealand (Marlborough). They’re delicious with lots of fruit and citrus!

I enjoy all types of wine, white, red, rose, just depends on my mood and what I’m eating or not. I also enjoy the Kendall Jackson Sauvignon Blanc, very crisp and fruity.

Have you tried the Bridlewood Chardonnay? It’s really smooth and buttery. I used it in my “Chicken Piccata” recipe tonight and some with the meal. Very delightful!
