It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’ve been busy with a lot of things; work, a new puppy, and starting to enjoy more white wine! When I first started this blog, I did a post about how I started trying a few whites, but just couldn’t get into them. Lately the weather’s been warming up and as much as I love beer, sometimes I need a drink that’s a little bit lighter. I decided to get a bottle of Kendall Jackson Sauvignon Blanc. I’ve had it a while back, and the more I try it, the more I love it. It goes down so smooth, and crisp. So far I can say this is my favorite white wine, sweet, but not too sweet that it gives you a headache.
Being a big Cupcake fan, I had to try the Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc. My mom recommended this one, she loves this, as much as I love their cab. This one is a little more bitter and has more citrus flavor, than the Kendall Jackson. It was full of flavor, but I have to say the Kendall Jackson is still my favorite.
The other white I tried, in this minor heat wave we had the past week was Gnarly Head Pinot Grigio. I like the Gnarly Head reds as well. The Pinot was good, just not my favorite. It was drier than the others, and a little sweeter.
Each of these bottles are under $10 and that makes them all taste great. This is just the beginning of my adventures with white wine, and I will try others, and let you know; there are so many out there and so little time!
